- My grandfather was my first introduction to 35mm - we spent our summers taking silly photos and processing them
- I have been taking photography courses and dark room processing since early high school. Majored in Psychology - change gears after college to photography & design
- Inspired by the dogs I photograph at various county shelters & Our Pals Place Dog Rescue
- Friends encouraged me to join my passions together dogs+photography
- I am a volunteer news writer for Best Friends Animal Society - Atlanta network
- I am currently owned by a 5 male pack. 2 beautiful senior dogs, 1 mean feral cat, an hysterically funny husband and the sweetest step son that just might love dogs as much as I do
- So here I am
My main goal in starting Furry Paws is to help raise money to donate to organizations who are dedicated to saving dogs/cats from being destroyed in county shelters. An estimated 9 million+ dogs/cats are euthanized every year in US county shelters. In the metro Atlanta area alone - nearly 90,000 unwanted pets are euthanized each year, just think of Turner Field - filled twice. When you choose my services, a percentage of my proceeds will go to help shelter pets. HOORAY!

Snowman and I at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab - He is a Hurricane Katrina dog, when rescued he had a stuffed snowman in his mouth - a sign of hope. When meeting him he greeted me with his bunny and never laid it down, not even on our hikes. I fell in love with him. He needs a home! www.bestfriends.org
